The Legionella Risk Assessment
Oakleaf can provide Legionella Risk Assessments and Legionella Risk Assessment Reviews both to comply with the ‘ACoP L8’:
Oakleaf surveyors will carry out an extensive risk assessment of all of the water systems on the site including all plant and systems that can utilise water.
A Legionella Risk Assessment will include all aspects of the scheme of precautions including:
- A full site description
- Risk Score and Risk Assessment Scoring Summary
- Faults Identified, Recommendations and Comments
- Pre Planned Maintenance Programme Analysis
- Survey Data and Results
- CAD Schematic Plan
- Legionnaires Disease History and Information
- Control of Legionellosis – Legislation
Follow up consultancy can be provided to assist the clients to continually manage the findings of the Legionella Risk Assessments should sufficient expertise not be available within the business.

Oakleaf provide a bespoke Legionella Management Policy which provides clear and unambiguous statements for precautions and remedial action. The policy details:- Control Measures, Legionella Risk Assessment, Legionella Management and Team Responsibilities
Legionella Procedures Manual
Read in conjunction with the Policy the Legionella Procedures Manual details the necessary tasks and their specifications together with a Legionella Outbreak Procedure and Legionella Management Reporting, lines of communication. It will also identify set parameters for the performance of the system for sampling and temperature limits.
Log Books and Monitoring Legionella Oakleaf also supply bespoke log books together with on-site monitoring. Log books are tailored to specific sites and will allow clients to manage the day to day operation of the control of Legionella and subsequent remedial actions.
Water Sampling Oakleaf can undertake on-site sampling for Legionella and TVC (drinking water) using an independent UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory.
Oakleaf will receive and interpret the laboratory test results and prepare recommendations for remedial action (including emergency reporting of elevated results).
On-going AuditingThis is an essential part of Managing and Controlling Legionella.
Oakleaf can undertake a full audit of scheme precautions reporting on its effectiveness and identifying any changes that may be necessary to ensure that it is operating at its fullest, most robust and within legal limits.
